BHP Billiton is currently undertaking a study to determine the feasibility of developing a significant laterite nickel deposit in Eastern Indonesia. The opportunity would involve the construction of world-class mining facilities, a process plant and associated infrastructure.

POSITION SYNOPSIS
We are now offering a challenging opportunity in a very dynamic environment to a self-motivated individual. You will be responsible for providing assistance to the Financial Services Superintendent in maintaining stewardship of the account for Stainless Steel Materials Indonesian Entities. You will also be involved in ensuring conformance with BHP Billiton's corporate governance framework and Indonesian Regulatory Requirements through the utilisation and maintenance of project financial and commercial systems, policies, procedures and internal control systems.

Reporting to the Financial Services Superintendent, your key accountabilities will include:
• Assist in preparation of the yearly statutory accounts for Stainless Steel Materials Indonesian entities;
• Ensure that all accounts are reconciled according to established procedure;
• Ensure that all reconciliation items are cleared in a timely manner;
• Ensure no duplicate invoices;
• Payment processing and receivables in accordance with payment terms;
• Oversight of petty cash and cash book transactions performed by Finance Officers;
• Preparation of intercompany invoices;
• Banking transactions (inhouse transfers, term deposits );
• Internal / External Audit Support as required;
• Processing new card requests and cancellations; and
• Recommending improvements to processes and procedures.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You will have gained extensive experience in finance in a mining project environment which will be supplemented by your tertiary degree of Finance or Accounting. Multinational corporate would be an advantage. With impeccable ethics and integrity, you accept no compromise on issues of business conduct and safety. Proficiency with SAP and integrated computing packages will be essential.

Your functional strengths will be complemented by excellent English skills, innovative work methods and the proven ability to thrive under pressure.

This is a Jakarta-based position.
