PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) operates a coal mine in Sangatta East Kalimantan and is one of the largest export coal mines in the world. Coal Production in 2007 was 36 million tones and there are plans for further expansion in 2008 and beyond.
In material movement terms, KPC is also one of the largest open pit mines in the world with a fleet of over 200 haul trucks and 30 shovels moving over 2 millions tones of material per day
Opportunities exist for a seasoned, high caliber, professional to join the Company with job assignment in Sangatta - East Kalimantan for the positions of:
Superintendent Financial Reporting
Vacancy exists within Accounting & Tax Department for the position of Superintendent Financial Reporting to Manager Accounting and Tax. Those who are interested in and meet the requirement for this position are invited to apply.
Key elements of the position include:

Responsible for General Acceptable Accounting Practices (GAAP) and other reporting compliances in overall preparation and accuracy of all corporate financial statements and miscellaneous other financial reports of company-wide operations.

Prepare analysis for management of the corporate financial indicators to provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
*
Monitor technical accounting issues including but not limited to accounting for income taxes pension and post-retirement benefits, foreign currency translations, inter-company eliminations, earning per share, stock compensation, equity investments, debt and borrowings, shareholders equity and others.
*
Managing the information request and delivery processes with the external auditors, financial appraisals and other financial service assigned by KPC, shareholders, lenders and banks including preparation of governmental and other surveys.
*
Assist senior management in KPC and shareholder groups on corporate communications, analysis meeting and press release.
Qualifications: & Experience:
*
Tertiary qualification (S1 degree) in Accounting with 10 years experience in finance or accounting (experience in International Financial Report Standard will be an advantage), ideally involving exposure to audit firms handling large corporate enterprises and/or the mining industry and covering all major accounting areas such as fixed assets, treasury, management reporting and costing.
*
Excellent Analytical Thinking, Problem Solving, Planning & Organizing, Report Writing & Presentation skills.
*
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written) in both bahasa Indonesia and English.
*
Good Computer skills such as Excel, Word, Power Point etc.
