A big multinational life insurance company currently inviting dynamic, highly motivated and superb candidates who possess strong interpersonal and resourceful to join our team as a full time staff in the following position:

Legal & Compliance Department

CORPORATE LEGAL MANAGER


Principle Duties and Responsibilities:



1.
Researching and analysing various legal issues and rendering an opinion to Management
2.
Drafting/reviewing a wide range of legal documents, including agency contracts, lease agreements, major purchase contracts, banking agreements, distribution agreements
3.
Reviewing external publications and communications prior to publication to ensure appropriately worded from a legal and compliance standpoint
4.
Providing technical legal advice regarding corporate tax issues.
5.
Coordinating and working with external lawyers and regional Legal Counsel on corporate matters such as litigation, real estate, trademarks and patents and other regulatory matters.
6.
Reviewing and supervising litigation in appropriate circumstances to minimise the exposure to the Company.
7.
Examining policy documents and promotional materials for legal implications
8.
Performing the Company Secretarial work in terms of statutory requirements such as Shareholder Meetings and filings.
9.
Developing & controlling the full inventory of legal contracts to ensure that all legal contracts are properly maintained, kept up to date, complied with, and that contract breaches are dealt with properly.
10.
Acting as the central point of contact for handling complaints from customers.
11.
Contributing recommendations and decisions on issues and reported defalcation or fraud cases.
12.
Prepares and updates matters related to the company's Corporate Compliance Program.


Job Specification:



a. Qualification:

· Bachelor degree in Law.



b. Experience:

· At least 8 years relevant experience either in a law firm or legal department of a corporate
