The Netherlands Red Cross (NLRC) through Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) is seeking a suitable candidate to facilitate and provide assistance to the PMI programme funded by the Netherlands Red Cross.

Country Representative Assistant
(Jakarta Raya)




Responsibilities:

* The main focus of this position is to provide support to:

o To support the planning, implementation and monitoring of the NLRC funded projects on Youth Exchange, Capacity Building, and Capacity Building in the Health Sector
o To support and advise PMI Divisions and chapters and branches on program / project management, with priority for activities that is part of the PO portfolio
o To follow up and assist PMI Divisions and chapters and branches in the preparations of project documents such as project proposals, agreements, MoU's, etc
o To monitor the financial situation of the projects in the portfolio in close cooperation with PMI finance officer. This includes follow up of financial administration and reporting
o To facilitate the timely organization by PMI of reviews, evaluations and audits related to the activities that are part of the CR portfolio
o To strengthen the coordination and cooperation between PMI and other relevant organizations (GoI, I-NGO, IFRC) supporting the NRLC Development Program
o To advise and inform - solicited and unsolicited - the Country Representative on developments and issues in the areas that fall under his/her responsibility
o To perform any other duties as requested
o The Country Representative, translation in the office and during field visits in Jakarta and outside, providing translation of documents and act as secretary of the CR

Requirements:

* The NLRC Program Assistant should:

o Should have Indonesian Nationality
o Have educational background (BA or MA) preferably in English or Business Administration
o Have working experiences, especially in the Non Governmental Organization (NGO), as programme staff or secretary
o Should preferably have experience in project cycle management, including project preparation, formulation, implementation and evaluation. Knowledge of financial administration programs is an advantage
o Should have proven oral and written English knowledge
o Should have adequate computer skills
o Should have excellent communication, and organizational skills
o Proven analytical and summarizing skills also able to take initiative
o Knowledge of and working experience with the Red Cross movement is an advantage

# Additional information

* Initial contract with PMI will be for 1 year, starting date as soon as possible
* Rewarding will be according to PMI/NLRC conditions and include salary, travel allowance, performance based bonuses, health insurance and training opportunities. Salary rate will be discussed during interview
* The PA will be based in the NLRC office situated in the PMI NHQ premises in Jakarta and should be able to travel frequently outside Jakarta
