Dear all, currently our client a US Based Chemical Company is seeking
high quality candidates for the following position:

-Project Engineer - Mechanical-

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering solutions by translating conceptual design in
the project Definition Document to Front End Engineering Design
Package and subsequently to detailed engineering plans for execution.
• Ensure that all capital projects are executed in accordance with
Company Management System, the 6 phase project methodology and
meeting all local regulatory and corporate requirements.
• All projects are completed in accordance with the agreed and
defined scope, schedule, and cost quality and safety requirements.
• Assist with the development of commissioning and start up plans and
assist with all commissioning.
• Compliance with Company Process Safety Management (PSM) and
Construction Safety requirements.
• Manage the respective project sub-budgets.
• Review and ensure correctness of all designs, drawings and
specifications.
• Assist to manage external consultants and contractors in accordance
with all site and local regulatory requirements, and standards.
• Communicate regularly with regional and global counterparts to
facilitate continous improvement and ongoing organizational learning.

Required Skills and Personal Attributes:

• Engineering design and Project Management skills. Must have been
involved in capital projects as design engineers and project
engineers.
• Ability to gather, analyze and draw well- reasoned conclusions.
• Knowledge in process plant engineering would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Process Safety Management.
• Knowledge of Behavioral Based Safety would be an advantage.
• Knowledge in areas such as confined space entry, lockout / tag out,
hot work permitting, etc. would be an advantage.
• Integrity, resourceful and able to work independently with minimum
supervision.
• Good communication skills.

Education / Experience

• Bachelor / University degree in the relevant Engineering discipline
• Minimum 10 years experience, preferably 5 years in engineering
design and 5 years in project management.
